Total War Warhammer 2 Tier List: Ranking All the Factions from S to F

A faction is an important element of both, solo as well as multiplayer gameplay in Total War Warhammer 3, and in this tier list, we will show you the best of them. Factions can help you get the best out of the game with the least effort. Using the right faction will see you defeat your enemies with ease, while also enjoying the entire experience of the game. This tier list will rank factions from tiers S to F. Here, tier S will feature the best factions, and tier F will feature the worst factions in the game.

The Legion of Chaos is another great faction you can use when playing TWW 3. It consists of a heavily-customizable Daemon Lord, along with the versatility to easily combine with the rest of the factions in this tier list. Doing so can enable you to create a strong hybrid army.

The first human faction in this TWW 3 tier list, the Kislev are a great choice if you are new to the game. You will also most likely be playing with them during the prologue of the game. This faction prefers to approach battles in a hybrid fashion, consisting of melee, missile, spellcasting, and cavalry units. What results, is great versatility and agility in the attack.

The Nurgle faction in this Total War Warhammer 3 tier list tries to cripple the opponent with poison attacks. This unique style of attack helps slow down the enemy before they eventually get slower and lose their defensive stability.

So there you have it. This was our tier list of the best factions in Total War. As you can see, the best factions here will offer you great support, along with powerful attacks and robust defenses. We recommend you stay away from the factions in tier C and below, as these do not offer much value.

Before we jump in, however, it's worth noting that nearly all of the DLC on this list gets a recommendation. There's always at least something, whether it's a new lord, unit or faction mechanic, that shakes up the meta and makes the DLC worth a punt. There are a lot of additions that are equally crucial, too, so instead of ranking each DLC individually, they've been placed in tiers.

Rise of the Tomb Kings was the first of Warhammer 2's full expansions, and as such it's much meatier than a lot of the DLC in this list. It introduces the rotting Tomb Kings, a bunch of mummified villains up to no good. This additional race also comes with a bunch of factions and starting situations, and unique systems to use during the Eye of the Vortex campaign. This spices up the main mode considerably, especially if you've already conquered it as one of the original races. 2ff7e9595c
